Think and Grow Rich
by Napoleon Hill

A classic business book for those who want examples of people who have not thought small.

Summary
This is one of those books that most business people either have a copy of or have had it suggested to them on a number of occasions.  Yet a small number have actually read the book.  I was one of these people a few years ago.  I picked the book up as I was going away on a little retreat and sat down and read it.  There are so many gems that come from this book that can help people to be brilliant at whatever field of endeavor they choose.  But the one that has made the biggest impression on me is the concept of creating a “mastermind”.  Hill says that power is essential for success in the accumulation of money; plans are inert and useless without sufficient power to translate them into action.  Power may be described as organized and intelligently directed knowledge.  Power as it is defined here, refers to organized effort, sufficient to enable an individual to transmute desire into its monetary equivalent.  Organized effort is produced with the coordination of effort of two or more people who work toward a definite end in the sprit of harmony.  Power is required for the accumulation of money.  Power is necessary for the retention of money after it has been accumulated.

As Hill describes a mastermind he lists the following benefits:

This chapter of the book inspired me to get involved with a mastermind group and I can tell you that my mastermind has made a significant difference to my business and my life.
